Downloading RaidTracker2

Please note, these files will no longer be supported after December 31, 2013. Please use the latest version to continue to receive support.

You can download RaidTracker2 (RaidTracker version 2.x) here. Note there are two versions listed below. Version 2.10 branch is the simpler version, while Version 2.50 is intended to be the better version due to customization and localization.

As usual, if you wish to leave feedback, feel free to contact me on twitter (@druidlove), Facebook or e-mail: slxception (at) gmail dot com.

Application file

Version 2.50 branch

Download RaidTracker version 2.52 (zip format)
See below about upgrading from 2.50 or 2.51

Version 2.10 branch

Download RaidTracker version 2.10.1 (zip format)
Download RaidTracker security patch 2.10 -> 2.10.1 (zip format)
This patch is only for those who have downloaded version 2.10 prior to September 1, 2009. Just upload the 2 files into the proper location. No install guides are needed.

Styles:

Any of these custom styles should be installed in its own folder of the /styles directory

Game pack coming soon.

Requirements

In order to use RaidTracker for your guild, you must have the following:
* A web server, or a host with PHP installed (PHP 5.x recommended)
* MySQL (version 5.x or higher recommended)

Note on versions

Each version is noted by x.yy.z format
x stands for the major version, or a significant change in the application. yy stands for a minor version, or a slight change in the application. z, if present, stands for a security patch to the minor version.

Instructions for upgrading

From version 1.x

Version 1.x cannot be upgraded. If you are using RT 1.x, consider installing the latest version in a clean manner.

Version 2.10

Version 2.10 to 2.10.1 is a security release: Download the security patch and upload the files in the correct location. No install guide needed.

If upgrading to 2.5x, please download version 2.52. Place your current copy of RaidTracker into maintenance mode. It is highly recommended to backup the following files below
* all files in ./style
* all files in ./user
* all files in ./images
Then you can extract and upload the version you downloaded. (If you backed up your files above, you can delete the old version, and upload the new one in the same place. Then you can copy the files you backed up in the same location.) Open your browser to your RT site and run the install, following the instructions.

Version 2.50

Version 2.51 and 2.52 are considered a security release to version 2.50. Download, extract and upload the file in your current directory. For best results (and the cleanest RT), backup the following files below, delete your old version, upload RT 2.52 in the same location as the old one, and restore your backup files.
* all files in ./style
* all files in ./user
* all files in ./images

From Version 2.51 to 2.52

This is an optional release unless you are using PHP 5.4 or later. If you are upgrading from 2.51 to 2.52, you just need to extract, and upload all but the /install folder to where your copy is installed. No install is needed.

From Version 3.00 or later

It is not possible to downgrade to RT2. If you kept your backup tables, you can use those if you choose to go back to 2.x

Instructions for first time, or clean installations:

1. Download RaidTracker zip file above.
2. Download the game pack and style (optional) of your choice (RT2 comes with the default style, and wow.rtp as gamepack** )
3. Extract all to a location on your server.
4. Open your web browser to the location where you extracted RaidTracker2 (i.e. if you installed RaidTracker in /rt, the address would be www.yourdomain.com/rt)
5. Follow the instructions of the installer

** Version 2.50 and later features a way of adding/editing classes/instances from within. Gamepack is no longer needed.

Notes about installation

* Version 2.10 is deprecated to Version 2.52. It is recommended to upgrade.
* You can install version 2.5x over version 2.10, but not earlier versions. To do so, you copy all files to the same directory where 2.10 is installed, and then navigate to your RT home page. Follow the installation instructions.
* RT versions 2.50 and later will no longer come in separate upgrade patches. The zip file contains the install and upgrade you need.
* Sharing database tables between versions is not recommended except in test situations. /user/db.php may be copied. Exercise caution with /user/rt.php between versions
* Version 2.10 and later will include the game pack wow.rtp by default. In version 2.50, this is optional if you wish to use your own locations. You should still use this file to create your account in the beginning, but may alter classes after install is done.
* Styles may be copied to your RT install location before or after you start the installation/upgrade. You may set this at any time.
* Styles from version 1.xx are not compatible with RT2.
* TO change styles temporarily (i.e. to test a style), add "?style=style_folder" or "&style=style_folder" to the address bar of the page you're on.
* If you install 2 versions of RaidTracker (same versions, or two different versions--including legacy formats), please change the cookie name to avoid conflicts.
* Icon for the Icecrown Citadel or later expansions is not included in this version.
